5K RUN / WALK

Run, walk or wheel this scenic 3.1-mile course on beautiful quiet residential streets and trails through Soldier's Field Memorial park. View the course map. Whether you are going for your personal 5K best, competing to have the largest charity team involved or planning to enjoy the landscape and architectural beauty in SW Rochester, this is the event for you.
5K runners, wheelers, and walkers begin and end at Soldier's Field Memorial Park on George Gibbs Dr SW (west side). Participants will gather just west of the Soldiers Field Veterans Memorial, near the intersection of 7th St SW and George Gibbs Drive for staging. The race will begin at 7:15 a.m. Participants will finish on George Gibbs Drive SW, directly west of Soldiers Field where they can enjoy food and beverages and meet up with friends and family.

What Do I Get?
All 5K participants will receive:

Event registration is limited to 550 participants. Sign-up early to guarantee your spot.
Packet pickup and late registration for all races will be at SCHEELS Sporting Goods, 1220 12th St. SW (Apache Mall); Rochester, MN
- Thursday August 22nd from 3:00pm to 8:00pm
- Friday, August 23rd from 3:00pm to 8:00pm
- And Saturday morning, August 24 from 5:30am -6:45am (packet pick up only) near the start line at Soldiers Memorial Field.There will be no late registration on the day of the event (Saturday August 24)
On the Course
An aid station serving up water and Gatorade is located at mile 1.6. Port-a-johns are located at the start and finish and adjacent to the aid station. Medical support is available along the course and at the finish line.
Overall winners and age group winners receive special recognition at an awards ceremony at Soldiers Field immediately following the event. Awards will not be mailed out. You must pick up your award in person or have someone pick it up for you.
Overall awards are determined by clock time. Age group awards are determined by chip time. Awards are also presented to the the top 3 male and female overall winners and the top 3 in all age groups. There will be no duplicate awards. The age groups are as follows:
- 14 and under
- 15 - 19
- 20 – 29
- 30 – 39
- 40 – 49
- 50 – 59
- 60 – 69
- 70 -74
- 75 and up
