Run, walk or wheel this scenic 3.1-mile course on historic downtown streets through the heart of Rochester and the world famous Mayo Clinic campus. View the course map. Whether you are going for your personal 5K best, competing to have the largest workplace team involved or planning to enjoy the landscape and architectural beauty of the buildings around you, this is the event for you.


5K runners, wheelers, and walkers begin at Peace Plaza in downtown Rochester and finish on the west side of Soldiers Field. Participants will gather in Peace Plaza, between 1st Ave. SW and 1st St. SW, for staging. The race will begin at 7:15 a.m. Participants will finish on George Gibbs Drive SW, directly west of Soldiers Field where they can enjoy food and beverages and meet up with friends and family.

What Do I Get?

5K Medal

5K participants will receive a high-quality technical t-shirt, custom medal and souvenir timing chip. Free recovery food and drink will also be available to all participants. Registration is limited to 1500 runners and walkers in all events.  Sign up early to reserve your spot and to guarantee a t-shirt in your choice of style and size. All registered participants who cross the finish line will receive a finisher's medal.  . 

Packet Pick-Up 

Packet pickup and late registration for all races will be at SCHEELS Sporting Goods, 1220 12th St. SW (Apache Mall); Rochester, MN

Thursday August 18th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

Friday, August 19th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm

And in the Peace Plaza Square at 100 1st Ave SW Saturday morning, August 20 from 5:30am -6:45am (packet pick up only)

There willbe no late registration on the day of the event (Saturday August 20)

On the Course

An aid station serving up water and Gatorade is located at mile 1.6. Port-a-johns are located at the start and finish and adjacent to the aid station. Medical support is available along the course and at the finish line.


Overall winners and age group winners receive special recognition at an awards ceremony at Soldiers Field immediately following the event. Awards will not be mailed out. You must pick up your award in person or have someone pick it up for you.


Overall awards are determined by clock time. Age group awards are determined by chip time.  Awards are also presented to the the top 3 male and female overall winners and the top 3 in all age groups:
